Jason Ball

With a gift for balancing education and improvisation, Jason Ball has provided expertise for Google, AT&T, and Deloitte.

Known for his inclusive approach to skill-building, Jason Ball is a Chicago-based actor, director, and facilitator. His diverse experience ranges from training new hires at Blue Cross Blue Shield to building leadership skills at Facebook and guiding kids and teachers in Chicago’s public schools through the art of improvisation. As a father, one of his many superpowers is the ability to hush any kid to sleep in 10 minutes or less.

While Jason has observed wolves, bears, and bison in their natural habitats, one of his most memorable adventures happened during a film shoot for a training video in Alaska. There, he helped locals haul a whale through a hole in the ice and accepted their invitation to a meal of freshly cooked blubber. His love of the outdoors began at a young age in the Cub Scouts and he remains a longstanding volunteer with the national, regional, and local committees of Boy Scouts of America.

Although he’s watched his share of Broadway shows, acting in a Broadway show remains a life goal. He has, however, acted onstage at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater in “Julius Caesar,” “Antony and Cleopatra,” and “King John.” He also spent a decade on the faculty of The Second City Training Center, where he taught and directed improv for adults, teens, and youth. While earning his BA in Theatre from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, he also acted with the Sundance Summer Theatre in the dual roles of Grizzly Bear and Porcupine.
